Improvements To The Camera In The April Update Are Already Available For Some Samsung Handsets.

Some Galaxy S24 smartphones are beginning to receive Samsung's April 2024 upgrade, which includes security updates and other enhancements.

Although 480p resolution Instant Slow-Mo films are supported with the update, it's unclear what additional camera enhancements are included. The monthly security patch, which weighs in at 818 MB, is arriving early.

Many Galaxy S24 smartphones in the United States have already received Samsung's monthly security update, which was first released in other territories. Starting on Wednesday, March 27, a few Android Central devices received the April 2024 update, which included bug fixes and security updates. Although not mentioned specifically in Samsung's changelog, the April 2024 update should resolve some of the recurring camera problems with the Galaxy S24 series.

The update weighs in at 818 MB, but the official changelog doesn't offer much information. Samsung just makes hazy allusions to the April 2024 patch's increased stability, dependability, and security.

In contrast, Samsung expressly detailed camera enhancements that were incorporated with the April 2024 update in South Korea, one such location. A user revealed the changelog for the April 2024 upgrade on a Galaxy S24 ultra smartphone in South Korea in a post on Samsung's community forums. Better white balance and exposure, low-light photos, text clarity, color accuracy, and support for 480p quality in Instant Slow-Mo video are among these enhancements. Certain enhancements, such text clarity and color accuracy, are exclusive to the ExpertRAW camera app.

The Android Insider has verified that videos with a resolution of 480x480 may now be supported with Instant Slow-Mo in the U.S. version of the April 2024 update. This does not imply that the April 2024 update for US users will also have all the other camera enhancements. All of these, though, were presumably included in the update but not in the changelog.

Use the settings app to access the software update page to see if your Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone has gotten the April 2024 security patch over-the-air. If it does, begin the download of the update, which, depending on your area, may be between 600 and 900 MB in size.
